Missed Reaper last night, didn’t you? Feel bad about that, don’t you? I thought so. If you want to catch an encore showing of Reaper you can do so tomorrow at 9/8c. I know, I know, up against The Office. At least time shift Reaper. You’ll thank me.

As much as I loved Reaper, seeing the show’s numbers this morning kinda stuck that knife in the gut a little further that we have moved on from a Gilmore Girls/Veronica Mars era. Reaper did roughly the numbers Veronica used to get, and makes you wonder what it will take to keep great shows around. Lowering of audience expectations? Quite possibly. I can’t speak highly enough of Reaper though and encourage you to watch.

One of my favorite pilots this year, Reaper, airs tonight at 9/8c on the CW. A show with a goofy premise about a guy who’s parents sell his soul to the devil, Reaper is worth every moment of your time. That goofy premise gives way to great television. It’s well acted (Ray Wise as the devil!), very well shot (directed by Kevin Smith!), funny, and should win the “what’s the best geek show this season?” award. Created by two women who met while working on The X Files, Reaper has won me over after one episode. Give it a try for yourself and come back here afterwards to let us know what you think.
