I have to admit that I hadn’t taken the time to see this movie in the theaters but was proud and touched when I took the time to watch it this last weekend. That being said, everyone knows that this isn’t a MOVIE REVIEW site - for that you’ll have to check out my Mike’s Movies Blog in the near future. The reason I bring up Oliver Stone’s WORLD TRADE CENTER is because we are graced in the film with a variety of regulars throughout the picture.
First up is one of my favorite, long-term characters, the always standing-to-be-in-the-right Mike Novick, portrayed by actor Jude Ciccolella.

Universal is considering a direct to DVD two-hour Battlestar Galactica movie according to Geek Monthly.
The movie would be produced during the show’s hiatus in March and would use the existing sets for Galactica. The presumed movie would take place between the third and fourth seasons of the show. All this, of course, assumes SciFi will renew the show for a fourth season. (Odds are good, but this is SciFi who has been known to pull some bone-headed moves in the past…..Farscape anyone?!?)
The movie is rumored to be a bridge between Galactica and its in development spin-off Caprica.
Being the Battlestar geek that I am, part of me gets excited thinking about more Galactica on our screens in whatever form it takes. But then the cynical part of me goes–X-Files: Fight the Future.

Can it be that new episodes of Doctor Who are becoming the norm and the expected for me? I have to admit, I fear this could be true since I found it difficult to muster up the same level of enthusiasm for the Christmas special episode of Doctor Who this year. Of course, a large part of the enthusiasm for last year’s story was the fact that it was our first sustained look at David Tennant at Doctor.
This year, it was a bit more subdued and looked at what life would be like on the show after Rose.
Having been a Who fan for years now and seen companions come and go, I have to admit the question of what is life like after Rose wasn’t quite as edge-of-your-seat as what is the new Doctor like. But I can see how the target audience for the new series would find it hard to know what life is going to be like for the Doctor after the departure of his companion.
Which brings us to “The Runaway Bride.”

Or more like, ‘S Horrible, ‘S Tragic. I’m just now getting around to watching this weeks Gilmore rerun and unlike the last one, this one was just as bad as I remember, maybe even more. This episode begins what I like to call “The Greatest Transgression Of 2006″ (thankfully there are only 2 days of the year left!) and Lorelai takes it upon herself to have a first rate rebound with her baby’s daddy. Pod!Lorelai has been around for a while now, but in this particular episode she takes it to a whole new level, especially when her mother is arrested for suspected drunk driving and Lorelai spends a quarter of the episode photographing the cops and taunting her mother over the arrest. Oh, one of the greatest characters in TV history Lorelai, where have you gone?

Just when you thought you’d read the last “It was my idea” story right?
If the detail, dollars and sense of the creation of “Coming to America” wasn’t enough to get the conspiracy folks in motion, this story will surely get your motor running. It’s from our own St. Louis Post Dispatch and offers up the idea that two brothers actually were the initial inspiration with THEIR great and real-life escape story for the hit Fox television show “PRISON BREAK.” True? False? I’d like to see what YOU think about this. An entertaining story that would make for a very interesting interview for Brian and I on 2GuysTalking for sure. Enjoy! –Mike2GuysTalking

Brothers with larger-than-life tale claim ‘Prison Break’ was stolen from them
By Phillip O’Connor
Bob Hughes watches the end of the show ‘Prison Break’ Monday evening in his apartment in Versailles, Mo.
VERSAILLES, MO. — The Hughes brothers admit they conned a few people back in the day.
From mobsters, to bartenders to the Army, they told stories a bit short of the truth in return for quick cash, another free pour or to hide from the law.
This time, the brothers insist, they’re not lying.

One of the wonderful things I can never thank all of the online-video services enough for is that had I not seen this note (or for that matter even if I HAD seen it) I can almost guarantee that this will be online somewhere in a matter of minutes after the interview and showcasing of the clip is over. Another cursed benefit from the digital age of “You”. ;) Read on below and if you happen to see it before I do (Tivo is set) be sure to comment on it. I would LOVE to hear more about it from fans. — Mike2GuysTalking

We had started talking about what I really do believe will be a boon in effort for the hit TV show, “LOST” - with the addition of Brian K. Vaughan to the Executive Story Editing staff. What a fantastic, unexpected but completely welcome announcement. It’s one that will potentially get me back into the adventure that is LOST. What are your thoughts on this? Do I have it right? Do you have any idea who Brian K. Vaughan is? Chime in via our comments section and let us know what YOU think! –Mike2GuysTalking

Sorry I’ve been so coy about these rumors, but I always like to wait until the contracts have been signed and the “first trimester” has been survived until I talk about stuff.
But yes, inexplicably, I’ve been hired as an Executive Story Editor by the fantastic television show LOST. As I’m neither an executive nor an editor, this is really just a fancy Hollywood way of saying that I’ve joined the writing staff.

I remember Frank Stanton’s legacy, mostly from the variety of shows I’d seen and soaked up like a sponge about the building of television dynasties on PBS over the years. I also remember him being mentioned when graphic design influences were considered for the new CBS logo. Frank was truly a pioneer in television and leaves a grand impression on the world of television. I think my greatest shock was the last statement in this report from Reuters - he had no immediate survivors. A high cost that accompanies the no-holds barred swingset of success or a curse that might have led him to his grave (though after 98 years, Hell, I’ll take some of that legacy)? Talk about his influence on the world of the little screen here at the 2GuysTalking Television Review Blogs. — Mike2GuysTalking
From: Reuters:
“WASHINGTON (Reuters) - American broadcast television pioneer Frank Stanton, the former president of CBS, died on Sunday at his home in Boston at the age of 98.
CBS Corp., which announced Stanton’s death on Monday, called him the “master builder” of the television network. Appointed president in 1946, Stanton held the position for 25 years, longer than any network television head.
Stanton burnished his reputation as a defender of freedom of speech when he refused to turn over to the U.S. House of Representatives his network’s outtakes from a 1971 report titled “CBS Reports: ‘The Selling of the Pentagon,”‘ which exposed the U.S. military’s propaganda campaign to build public support for the Vietnam War.

December 23rd, 2006 by KIP LEWIS
This is my first post, so before I say more, I thought I’d introduce myself.
My name is Kip Lewis and I have been collecting comics for the better part of 30 years, mostly the super-hero stuff from Marvel and DC. I, along with a friend, even tried to set up a comic book company called Falcon Press in the 90s. I still create and write stuff for myself and friends/family.
Now as far as Heroes goes — I started off a little unimpressed by the first episode, but by the second one, I was hooked. The Cheerleader and Hiro are my favorites. Nikki is my least favorite. But the one I don’t like is Peter’s brother, Nathan. Or maybe I should say, he’s the one I trust the least, even less than Nikki’s alternate persona.

Did any of you know that you have a direct link to the creative battery that helms the hit show “LOST?” Neither did I! While looking for an official link to feature here at the 2GuysTalking Television Review Blogs, I found a site called “The Fuselage” that boasts:
“The Fuselage.com: The Official Site of the Creative Team Behind LOST
Sponsored by J.J. Abrams”
For those of you that don’t understand the gravity of something like this, imagine if you will any STAR TREK show that would have ever had the tie/lifeline to the people that actually watch the television show, during ANY of its many runs and failures at greatness.
