Oy, I am so incredibly happy that I am Tivoing all of the remastered STAR TREK ToS episodes. This just came in on my AintItCool.Com wire and folks: This is the stuff that Trek needed YEARS ago to save it from the beast that was BermanBragga, the mostly crappy creature that had a stranglehold on most of the Trek property as it spiraled into a nosedive through the end of VOYAGER and almost all of ENTERPRISE. I love the before/after photos that are included here and hope that you all will take just a quick moment to put in your thoughts about it below. –Mike2GuysTalking

STAR TREK Remastered!! Vulcan Conformed!! Shuttlecraft Landing Before An Audience!! An Exclusive Ship Pic, Too!!
Merrick here…
..with some images from this weekend’s STAR TREK Remastered.
It’s “Journey to Babel”, the episode in which Enterprise is assigned to transport delegates (Spock’s parents among them) from many worlds to a conference on Babel. Along the way, many things go very wrong - including murder, the discovery of a secret operative, and a vicious attack by a high-speed alien vessel.
First up: a reworked shot of Enterprise orbiting Vulcan, from which Spock’s mom and dad will visit. Seems Vulcan’s appearance has been modified to (more or less) match the way it looked in the later TREK movies/subsequent series.

Thank you to the CW’s promo department for completely misrepresenting how things would play out in this week’s episode of Veronica Mars.
If I’m not mistaken, the line from the promos with Veronica unsure if she could ever forgive someone wasn’t even in the episode! Good job, guys!
That said, this week’s episode was a much stronger entry than last week’s though I’m still a bit worried about where the show is going. Read the rest of this entry »

Could it be that the whole Dee/Lee/Kara/Anders love quandraleteral has finally been played out? I hope so because that whole plotline drug down what was, otherwise, an outstanding episode of Battlestar Galactica.
This whole plotline has felt a bit forced and like the writers all fell in love with it, thus running with it longer than maybe it should have gone. I find myself tuning out mentally during the early Lee/Dualla scenes, esp. the ones where Lee whines that Dualla doesn’t trust him. Yeah, hotshot, you’re not really giving her much reason to trust you, so why you’re shocked she doesn’t, I’m not so sure.
But then something happened in the fourth act. It suddenly got a bit more interesting. And here’s why. Read the rest of this entry »

The one thing that makes Heroes works is that the writers know how to keep mysteries coming and building while at the same time they deal with real life.
Spoilers warning! Do not continue if you do not wish to know what happens in Chapter 13 of Heroes.

According to Gilmore Girls #1 fanboy Michael Ausiello, Lauren Graham has been given a producers credit on Gilmore, furthering what is quickly becoming one of the best off screen dramas of the ‘06-’07 season. The producing credit will pop up for the first time on tomorrow’s episode “To Whom It May Concern”, and is in all likelyhood the studio and network path to getting Lauren to sign on for the show’s 8th season.

THE YEAR OF FEAR
Source: The New York Post
SUDDENLY, NUKES ARE THE NEW BLACK January 29, 2007 –
What’s that on the horizon? It’s a mushroom cloud -something we haven’t seen this often on TV since the Cold War.
But this season, mushroom clouds are back as TV taps into our worst fears - namely, terrorist attacks with nuclear weapons - and makes them real.
“I think that’s what we’re all afraid of,” says Carol Barbee, executive producer of “Jericho” on CBS. “We’re all afraid that some crazy person will get hold of a bomb and will blow up the United States.”

Hi there — I’m going to do some posting on the show BONES for 2GuysTalking and realized that I need to tell you why this show has become one of my favorites. I admit the reason I started watching was David — didn’t all the women start because of him — but I had additional reason to watch as I was familiar with the novels by Kathy Reichs. These books had amazed me for several years and I thought they would make a good series but didn’t think it would ever happen.

According to TVGuide.com, Sarah Wayne Callis who plays Dr. Sara Tancredi is expecting her first child with husband of five years, Josh Winterhalt. The baby is due in ‘late summer’.
This could impact Callis’s availability should the show be renewed for a third season. This off course assumes that she will survive this season.

Last Thursday a story broke in the press about FOX taking action against YouTube and another smaller website for posting the season premiere of “24″ and other FOX shows on their site prior to broadcast. I’ve waited to write this article to see if any further developments came out. Well, most stories have been the same but ZDNetNews has a more detailed story which you can find here: http://tinymce.moxiecode.cp/mce_temp_url..
Anyone who watches “24″ and hasn’t been out of the country or away from computer access knew about those episodes early release.

LOST will be back on the air on February 7, 2007, at 10 pm. As I write this entry, LOST will be on in 11 days. I am an ardent LOST fan and the wait is killing me!
The musical Camelot has a song called “What do the simple folks do.” Guinevere sings it to King Arthur when they are both depressed and pondering about the genteel folk’s way of battling the blues. Well, a hard-core LOST-a-holic has the same problem: How do other LOST-a-holics cope with the long hiatus that they are currently enduring?
