BONES — MUMMY IN THE MAZE

October 31st, 2007 by LindaAnne

Okay — quick recap today because I have my own mystery around the house.  I missed a few parts of the episode because of door bells, drive alarms, etc.

First of the mystery.  Bones and Booth are called to a corn maze when the body of a real “mummy” is found by a child.  The mummy is a young girl who has been missing for two years.  The team then are sent to a “fun house” for the second body of a young girl, missing for a year.  A third girl is missing and the team uses the evidence to trace her before its too late.  The three girls have one think in common — all seem to have disapeared near the “funhouse” at Shoreline Amusement Park, all have ties to a young man (and eventually his girlfriend who work there).  He’d lure them off for a “quickie” and she’d watch and maybe get so upset she’d beat them up.

Back at the Jeffersonian, Zach gets a break in the case when evidence points to the possibility of the girls being buried alive.  He has seen it in Iraq and doesn’t want to contemplate it, but when Hodgin’s evidence is factored in, they have to consider it.  They look for rail shavings and a certain type of flower and, in Halloween costumes, Bones and Booth ends up in the subway tunnel under a florist.  They find the young girl in a room with snakes and Bones accidentally shots Booth while taking the lock off the door to get to her.  The villian, associated with Shoreline and dressed as a clown, tries to kill Booth and mummify both the girl and Bones.  In the end, Booth shots the clown and turns to Bones and says:  “Now do you see why I hate clowns.”

The second story of course furthers the relationship of Bones and Booth.  They have such good chemistry together and their discussion was all over the place. They also played up the angle of Booth being scared of clowns and Tempe trying to get him pass it.  Last night, we learned what she is scared of — snakes.  He had to carry her to the  young girl because of the non-poisonious snakes at the entry to the room.  Booth did ask her why she had to shot him and she said she didn’t mean to.

Oh, Tempe was Wonder Woman and Booth was a nerd — costumes anyone!

Chapter Six, The Line

October 30th, 2007 by KIP LEWIS

OK, I GIVE UP! No more trying to predict where the latest Hero threads are leading me. My brain cannot take it no more. Too many threads. Too many new threads. After watching Chapter Six, The Line (I think that’s the title), I give. Time to sit back and enjoy and if sudden insight hits me; “yeah, me.”

Well, we’ve made it to the half hour installments of The Office, and I can’t say that it has been much of an improvement. Has this show finally just run it’s course, or is there still some life left in it? Maybe November sweeps will shed some light on that very question, but in the meantime, I’m a bit disillusioned with with one of my favorite shows on television. Read the rest of this entry »

The Trailer that Did… 24 is Ready to Erupt…

October 25th, 2007 by Mike2GuysTalking

Ahhh, not only am I being treated to a dandy showcase of Boston Red Sox baseball in the post season, low and behold!   It’s the Season 7 “24″ Trailer in a new color palletted glory!

This is probably the best sample of what was completely missing last year.  They have set up a series of bowling pins with the visuals, the “return” (which I think is going to be a gotcha that all will love) of a beloved but previously thought dead character, and wraps story about things that concern us all - in this first offering the interruption of what is our mostly bulletproof air control system!

The bottom line, folks, is that since the nuke was ignited last year, there has been NOTHING in the way of bowling pins set up and now - we have them!

Let’s have just one more tidbit in ashort trailer during the holiday slew of television goodness and BRING ON “24″!

Tell us what you’re thinking about the new trailer showcased during World Series Game 2 this evening and remember to check out Jennifer Smith’s “HQ” for a great site, that gives you TONS of up-to-date goodies, tidbits and offerings regularly!

You can also talk more about that and everything “24″ over at our Official Online Forum, “TWENTYFOURFORUM.Com”

Let’s hear it, folks!

A Spinoff for PRISON BREAK? Thoughts everyone…?

October 25th, 2007 by Mike2GuysTalking

As one of at least two people in the throes of the Season 2 DVD set (my wife and I when we’ve got free time together - ha!), I was interested to see this note from the Hollywood Reporter showcased over at ComingSoon.Net.  A Spinoff show for PRISON BREAK.  Hmm….  What are YOUR thoughts on this one?  Is it another splash to try to follow Grey’s into another realm of “being” or is it a legitimate go-for-it move by Fox to capitalize on what’’s going on with PRISON BREAK?  Let us know what you think here and read on below for more information about the Spinoff that’s on the way!  -Mike2GuysTalking

Fox to Spin-Off Prison Break

The Hollywood Reporter October 24, 2007

Fox is looking to spin-off “Prison Break” with the tentatively titled “Prison Break: Cherry Hill,” says The Hollywood Reporter. The potential new series would be set at a women’s prison and center on Molly, a new regular character that will be introduced on “Prison” later this season.

Fox has ordered a script of the possible spin-off, which is being written by “Prison” executive producer Matt Olmstead and co-executive producer Zack Estrin and produced by 20th Century Fox TV.

Molly is an upper-middle-class wife. After suffering a family tragedy at the hands of the Company — the government conspiracy that framed Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and put them behind bars — she seeks them out at the hellish Panamanian prison Sona in her quest to exact vengeance.

In “Cherry Hill,” which would have the same tone as “Prison,” Molly goes to a women’s detention facility fully accepting the life sentence for her acts of revenge until she is contacted by the government with information that some of her loved ones are alive.

If “Cherry Hill” doesn’t go forward, Molly will continue on “Prison” as a regular character.

‘Lost’ actor Daniel Dae Kim accused of DUI

October 25th, 2007 by ESBaker

After months of radio silence and good behavior, another actor from LOST is in trouble with the law: Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin-Soo Kwon. Does that mean that we will soon say good-bye to Jin?

Jin was a disliked character in Season 1, but fans slowly learned to love him in Season 2 and 3. The actor, who was not comfortably fluent in Korean had to say all his lines in Korean for the first two seasons and part of Season 3. As Season 3 unfolded, Jin was just learning enough English to start conversing with the other characters.

Here’s a copy of the actual article featured in “The Honolulu Advertiser”:
