As we mentioned on our earlier post, the return of Sarah Wayne Callies is confirmed.
Read below the message we received from Julie Farin at TV Guide:
March 27, 2008 (New York, NY) – TVGuide.com’s senior writer Michael
Ausiello reports that Sarah Wayne Callies — whose rather ugly contract
dispute with Prison Break producers led to her apparent decapitation
last October — is returning next season full-time as Dr. Sara
Tancredi, head and all. To read Ausiello’s Q&A with executive producer
Matt Olmstead, click on the link below:

This week’s episode of Medium was the first of a two-parter, “Wicked Game.” This week’s moral dilemma was not as severe as cannibalism, such as in “Aftertaste” (that title is just so wrong) from a few weeks ago. Allison only had to decide if she should meddle in Cynthia Keener’s personal life after Allison dreamed of Cynthia’s daughter’s kidnapping. Allison was shocked that Cynthia hadn’t mentioned her daughter’s disappearance. This is also supposed to explain Cynthia’s less-than-pleasant demeanor. (Personally, I believe there are very few reasons to treat others like crap, and a missing child, however traumatic, is not a good reason to be miserable to others, especially after eight or nine years.) Joe’s line in the opening sequence was brilliant:
Keener? What could possibly give that woman nightmares? Other than somebody named Dorothy dropping a house on her?

A coworker and I were just talking about the potential date of PRISON BREAK this next season. After last season’s gooneyness, I guess we really had to wonder. Isn’t it strange that we’re contemplating the date of something that had what I thought was a reasonably weak season last year, yet we all wait with baited breath to see if something as quality as TERMINATOR: The Sarah Connor Chronciles - steeped in 25+ years of fandom - simply gets the chance at a second season? (shakes head) Seems to me that something is TRULY out of whack with that. PRISON BREAK Mary here at the TelevisionReviewBlogs has done a great job of keeping us up on details and I envision her chimg in in here on this and more as details are announced. Let us know what you think of the news below and also tell us what you think is going to happen to TERMINATOR: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. -Mike2GuysTalking
Prison Break Returning for a Fourth Season
Source: Variety March 25, 2008
Fox has greenlit a fourth season for “Prison Break,” while the network confirmed that “The Return of Jezebel James” wouldn’t be back.
Fox has ordered 22 more “Prison Break” episodes from 20th Century Fox TV. The show had its third season cut short by the writers strike. Fox aired 13 episode this season, averaging 8.2 million viewers and a 3.5 rating/9 share among adults 18-49.
The third season of “Prison Break” revolved around the show’s main characters breaking out of a Panama prison. The show’s executive producers had crafted a midyear cliffhanger at the end of the show’s 13th episode; that ended up serving as a de facto season finale.
[SPOILER STARTS]

My TERMINATOR Podcast Co-host, Tony Lovasco, is finally caught up via DVD and can be told about the greatness that is The Shield. There is now news arriving in regard to the return of what I think is pound for pound one of the best programs on television, involving - you guessed it - CCH Pounder, who plays newly promoted Claudette Wyms . Be sure to read this great (but old) interview with her over at TVGuide (a small snippet is here) and stay tuned for our attention-getting reviews of The Shield as we march a great show to it’s last season which we hope will put a period in a very delightful sentence of entertainment. - Mike2GuysTalking
“As The Shield Returns, CCH Pounder Takes Charge
by Joseph Hudak
As FX’s taut cop series The Shield returns for its sixth season (tonight at 10 pm/ET), it does so with arguably the cleanest cop in Farmington promoted to captain of the Barn — CCH Pounder’s Det. Claudette Wyms. The Emmy-nominated actress, who excels in bringing gravitas to her roles, offered her take on last season’s series-changing finale.

It’s been a “nutty” experience in general, and while I’ve seen the first 15 mintues of the first episode, I have no idea what happens inside of the series in general, especially the second peanut-buttery season, but I do have them all DVR’d for extra never-to-be-found down time this summer. Read on below and to those of you that sent nuts to the makers - what a neat experience, and my condolences. I look forward to what our own Michael Hickerson and Jenn Smith will have to say about their number one hated show. - Mike2GuysTalking
“Jericho Cancelled a Second Time
Source: CBS March 21, 2008
CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said on Friday that “Jericho” will not be returning for a third season.
“The March 25th episode of Jericho will be the series finale,” said Tassler.
She added: “Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more. We thank an engaged and spirited fan base for keeping the show alive this long, and an outstanding team of producers, cast and crew that went through creative hoops to deliver a compelling, high quality second season. We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try. We listened to our viewers, gave the series an opportunity to grow, and the producers put a great story on the screen. We’re proud of everyone’s efforts.” “

I found this on one of my regular daily rounds and thought those of you that access our Medium reviews via Christine Hallowell would like to read it. Check out the details listed below and be sure to tell us what YOU thought about it! Note: I was under the impression that Mike Meyers was The Cat in the Hat movie. Perhaps some research that wasn’t done by the author. Hmmm. Enjoy! -Mike2GuysTalking
From ComingSoon.net:
“Actress Kelly Preston (”The Tenth Circle,” Death Sentence) will guest star in NBC’s hit drama “Medium” for a four episode arc, beginning Monday, April 14, 10-11:00 p.m. ET. Beginning with an episode entitled “Partners In Crime,” Preston will play Meghan Doyle, an attractive venture capitalist who likes what she sees when Joe Dubois (Jake Weber) makes a presentation on his new solar power-based invention to her investment firm. Her decision to independently fund and become business partners with Joe ultimately creates tension in his marriage to Allison (Patricia Arquette), it was announced today by Executive Producer Glenn Gordon Caron. “We’re thrilled to have Kelly join us for the final episodes of Season 4,” said Caron. “For the role of Meghan Doyle, a venture capitalist who decides to underwrite Joe, we needed an actress who exuded both intelligence and sexuality. Someone who could stand toe-to-toe with Patricia and Jake, and credibly create chaos in a household and a marriage that is as strong as any on television.” Preston has proven her versatility with strong performances in smaller independent films including From Dusk Till Dawn and Citizen Ruth as well as in hit feature films, including her breakout role in “Jerry Maguire opposite Tom Cruise. Since then, she has appeared alongside Michael Keaton in Jack Frost, Jim Carrey in The Cat in the Hat and received critical notices for her role opposite Kevin Costner in For the Love of the Game. She appeared in Battlefield Earth, a film produced by her husband of 16 years, John Travolta, and most recently starred with Kevin Bacon in Death Sentence. Later this year, Preston will star in “The Tenth Circle,” based on the New York Times best-selling novel by Jodi Picoult.”
