Caption Hunt: The Eye DVD - Have YOU Seen It?

November 29th, 2008 by Mike2GuysTalking

Movie Viewing Date: 11-29-2008
Movie Title: The Eye
Reviewed By: Mike Wilkerson

Intro:

I’m not certain, but movies like this are probably doomed in my overall “vision” mostly because what are sometimes worthwhile and scary premises are reduced to skitter-reflexive drivel with dark, shadowy, twitch camera moves and deep thundering base emphasis as the movie goes on.  The truth that unfolds inside of this 2GuysTalking Caption Hunt Report on “The Eye”, starring Jessia Alba is something to be seen.  Are you ready to experience a sight to remember?  We thought we were too.

Caption Hunt: The Shield - Series Finale Review - The Answers You Want

November 28th, 2008 by Mike2GuysTalking

The Answers to The End of “The Shield” - What Happened, What We Felt and What It All Means

I have been anticipating the end of “The Shield” since the end of last season.  While I was engaged for season 6’s finale, I have to tell you I was ultimately disappointed last year when The Shield came to an end.  That’s all changed this year and I’ve just completed watching an outstanding end to what is one of the greatest television series in history.  While researching time lines for another review I was writing I noticed that really, most of the reviews online don’t really give any definitive answers on what happens as The Shield ends with this episode, “FAMILY MEETING.”  To that end, I have constructed a one-stop answer shop for what happens to the characters featured in the series finale of “The Shield.”  Enjoy your read and please provide your comments on this outstanding bookend to a series that will be long remembered.

THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO STOP READING - SPOILERS ABOUND BELOW! ———

Prison Break: closing to the end

November 27th, 2008 by Prison Break Mary

This week’s episode was by far the best of the season. The two unexpected twists of the plot had left me with my mouth open. Agony for our heroes’ fate had me at the edge of my seat. Just like good old days.
Unfortunately, this is the last season - it is confirmed. Hollywood reporter said that there will probably be 2 additional episodes although it is not certain whether they will be aired or end-up in the DVD.

My opinion still remains that with everything that goes on this season on Prison Break there could easily be another one, but FOX has already decided, so…

On another subject, I really cannot understand the purpose of removing Michael’s tattoos since Lincoln seems to add more and more tattoos on his arms with every episode. Isn’t there a risk of being recognised by them? I think Michael should have his tattoos left as they were because they were part of his story.

I read somewhere that they “removed” them because they didn’t want to have to apply them for every episode. Sorry, but with or without the tattoos Michael still wears long sleeves (just like in the previous season). It is so frustrating to see everyone on short sleeves and Michael on long ones. So, what’s the point of removing them? Oh, and Wentworth indeed got fat. He should be looking better at his weight.

Galactica-Galore - Prepare for the Final Asault…

November 24th, 2008 by Mike2GuysTalking

It was a series that made my imagination soar when I was a kid - not because of the science fiction, not because of the kid-centric storylines that danced through like the ever-rotating partners of “Dance With the Stars” in the emotive camp of the late 70’s.  It was the time that I spent creating my own stories of adventure inside our three bedroom apartment to keep myself occupied during a time of family crisis with the action figures, the spacecraft and my wild imagination to do cool things that others hadn’t done yet.  When the NEW Galactica grew wings to become a true, award-winning and well-followed show, there was a bit of that same feeling, but - finally I think it all came down to time or the lack thereof that just simply meant the inability to watch it regularly.

Now, we approach the END of this much-heralded series and I am awaiting t he true finale of this series.  Mostly because I want to catch up on the great, NEW podcast that we have on the network, The Galactica Quorum, who will be following the last throes of this series as it airs on television.  Are you a Galactica Fan?  Have you started watching the NEW BSG?  You need to be sure to take a listen to The Galactica Quorum Podcast now, and be sure to tell us what you think we can expect when the final entries of the series arrive.  I know I will enjoy reading them as I begin and complete this great series via DVD and ultimately in HD in my home theater. –Mike2GuysTalking

Lost on LOST - More Cool News for LOST Fans…

November 24th, 2008 by Mike2GuysTalking

If I were to pick a word for my status as someone who watched LOST for the first 2 seasons, I would have to pick the word, “LOST.”  I’ve no idea where they are in the lore, who’s alive, who’s dead or what’s occurred since the last time I knew of Jack “on the island.”  What I DO know is that the music, and the imagery in what I’ve just seen via YouTube (as was sent by several viewers this last week) makes me want to find time to get into a LOST Marathon to catch up before the beginning of the next set on January 24th, 2009.  Read on below for details and let us know what YOU think of what’s going on currently and what you think we can expect in what is going to be a very interesting “next season” of a show that is being called “THE GREATEST TELEVISION SHOW EVER” by a growing number of people.  Sell me on this show, folks, and I’ll be right along side you after the completion of a ground-breaking marathon during the upcoming holidays. –Mike2GuysTalking

Prison Break, season 4, episode 11: Quiet Riot

November 24th, 2008 by Prison Break Mary

Alex and Sucre are trying to pierce the concrete wall that protects Scylla, and they do it in a slow way in order not to trigger the acoustic sensors from the other side. When a hole is open they insert a flexible camera and finally get to see the room; Scylla is in an elevated cube floor, behind a glass wall, with a gap full of motion detectors protecting it, and they will have to find a way of getting there.
Sucre remembers the time when he was drilling another hole with an egg beater back at Fox River. He is concerned about Michael, but Alex feels they have to be optimistic and get the work done otherwise they will all return to jail and this is not something that will help Michael.
