LOST: Time-Traveling Bunnies?

February 28th, 2009 by ESBaker

For the past fours seasons, LOST never really revealed that all in all it is a sci-fi show. During the last episodes of Season 4, time-traveling bunnies were introduced, and the first episode of this season proved to us that we are time traveling with a vengeance.

Vinyl record.

Vinyl record.

Last season, Ben moved the island. It disappeared right in front of the Oceanic 6 as they were flying back towards it. This season we learned that the island not only moved through space, but through time, as well. Moreover, the island is stuck like a broken record, skipping back and forth. And if you are from a generation that has not seen an LP record, you would not know that they did occasionally skip. However, LOST had an ingenious way to show you that phenomena. Medium - Two Reviews for the Price of One

February 26th, 2009 by Christine

“A Person of Interest” 2/16/09

Opening: Allison voice-over, talking about fixations and obsessions.  Do you remember the Hi-Pro dog food commercials that ran in the ‘80’s?  The items people were fixated on were glowing – they had the Hi-Pro glow!

Main storyline: Allison is channeling the early obsessions of a terrorist’s son, who just happens to be employed by her husband.  Instead of preparing dinner for David Brewer and his wife, Allison gets obsessed will building something in the garage, which just happens to be a home-made bomb, fertilizer and all.  Obviously, they have to lie to their guests, and return the fertilizer.  It turns out that David Brewer, Joe’s employee, used to be Arlo Slocumb, Mitchell Slocumb’s son.  Mitchell was a crazy militant who ended up performing acts of terrorism in the Phoenix area years ago.  The bomb Allison built was inspired by David/Arlo’s drive to build things.  The bomb was a replica of the one and only time David/Arlo went along with his father’s crazy ideas.  In the end, David was living a changed life.  Allison had no proof of his part in the bombing.  But he decides not to work for Joe anymore.

Lost’s Lance Reddick: Be Prepared for His Return

February 25th, 2009 by ESBaker

Lance Reddick

Lance Reddick

The Feb. 18 episode of Lost left viewers with a whopper of a burning question: How did Kate, Sayid and Hurley end up on that Ajira Airways flight when they seemed so opposed to doing so? Did the mysterious Matthew Abaddon (Lance Reddick) have anything to do with it? TVGuide.com talked to Reddick about what exactly we’ll learn about Abaddon next as he plays a significant role in “The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham” (Wednesday, 9 pm/ET, ABC). In the meantime, Reddick offers up some juicy insight:

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT MATTHEW ABADDON?
Thus far, Abaddon has helped assemble the team that came to the island from the freighter. He visited Hurley in the booby hatch to ask about the rest of the Oceanic 815 passengers. And he convinced a wheelchair-assisted Locke to go on a “walkabout” through the Australian Outback.

Heroes, Episode 3 2/16/09

February 21st, 2009 by KIP LEWIS

In the third week of Heroes, we find ourselves in a more familiar rhythm.  Rather than focus on the entire cast, the show is focusing on only a handful of characters;  this epiosde looks at Claire, Hiro and Ando, Sylar and finally Nathan.  This is how the show should work.  The ensemble is too big to focus on them all.

Kyle’s Mom Makes Appearance on The Mentalist

February 18th, 2009 by Christine

Marguerite MacIntyre, who is Nicole Trager in the hit TV show, Kyle XY, plays a murderous country club wife on this week’s episode of The Mentalist.  After a bit of research, it looks like MacIntyre has been appearing on an episode or two of many popular TV shows over the years, such as, CSI:NY, Bones, Numb3rs, and The Shield to name a few.
